Ok. I need to rant or vent or flail or SOMETHING before I hurt somebody. Sometimes the world AMAZES me with the amount of sheer DUMB that is its inhabitants.

Like, WTF?!? There are actually PEOPLE (extremly egoistical, misogynistic BASTARDS, but people nontheless) in 21st century North America who think that women came with the sole function to take care of men?! And that wife with a career means OH NOEZ she's going to meet people better than you and cheat on you?! And that divorce is, of course, all women's fault?!
And then I made the mistake of talking to a male friend about this. This is basically our conversation (emphasis mine):

Me: Look at this. What do you think?
Him: Well it's like "Taming of the Shrew".
Me: ....the DIFFERENCE is that this is four hundred years later. You'd think humans have gotten past this women-are-created-to-serve-men crap.
Him: Hey, problems of the past still persist. Too bad, so sad...why rage about it?
What. The. HELL. You mean you don't see something terribly WRONG with this? How can you just dismiss it like that, and make me look like I'm making a big deal out of nothing?

I am angry. *seethes*

In an unrelated note, I went ahead (and caved in to peer pressure) and rented KH2 yesterday! Just started on it, and I'm enjoying it immensely already. Except the controls. Oh the controls TT____TT Let's just say I'm really bad with button-pressing. But it's still kind of fun.

Yay! I passed my road test(on the 2nd try)!!! (thus my special squeeing icon)I can now adhere to the rules of Novice drivers, where green means go, yellow means go faster, and red means "oh shit I just hit somebody". And, of course, driving with only one non-family passenger. But yes. 2 more years until all restrictions are off.

Finally got some time to play FFX today, but spent way too long with Seymour because he killed me once and had to start over (I don't believe he's really dead..), and only got about half an hour worth of storyline. Am on a strange desert island right now, looking for the rest of the group. There is disappointingly little slash-hints so far, but I'm determined to find them anyway XD. Not too concerned with leveling up, just want to see the rest of the story first (mostly because the sphere-grid isn't agreeing with me and I don't think I'm using it effectively). But I really like finding all the treasure chests and hidden items, so will probably spend a while on that too.

I convinced a friend to play FF7 recently, and I've been pretty much going through the game again without actually playing myself. T_T The flashback with Zack just KILLED me. Again. Poor polygon!Cloud crawling up to the edge of the cliff and picking up the Buster sword and shaking and there's RAIN and just...WOE. I think I'll go watch Advent Children again, just to see the happy ending bit.

Feels like summer has only started, though it's ending in 3 weeks. At least there's no more tests, and I can play to my heart's content. ^___^

I think I've watched this 5 times already and it still makes me laugh like a crazy laughing thing every time. This is probably the funniest video I've seen in a LONG time. I wish we have ads of this quality here in Canada.

...is the most cracktastic anime I've ever seen. Well, I've only seen the first 20 episodes so far, and the friend who recommended this series to me says it gets quite serious later on, but...omg. The main character got flushed down a frigging TOILET for goodness' sake! It's full of cliche characters but they KNOW it's cliche and they make fun of it. And it's hilarious. But this is another one of those where I end up hating the canon pairing, and start rooting for the alternate pairing instead--Konrad and Yuuri totally belong together. Here's the proof--the VA of Konrad is Morikawa, and the VA of Yuuri is Sakurai. Morikawa and Sakurai are ALSO the VA of Sephiroth and Cloud, respectively. That tidbit of information, which I just found out today, had me snickering away for a while.

For some reason, finding the voice of one character in the mouth of another from a different show has always been extremly amusing to me. Like when I realized that Ishida (from Bleach) has the same voice as Sasuke. It felt really...wrong, at first. Then it was just funny and I couldn't stop myself from imagining Sasuke saying all those things...

Sigh. So I didn't pass my road test. I was pretty nervous, and--let's face it--I just didn't have enough driving experience so I sucked. My parents keeps wanting to blame it on my instructor though. But it's really not his fault...he probably taught me all I needed to know, but I just didn't do them at the time of the test. Oh well...no biggie, I'll just take it again sometime, and then I'll pass. /pep-talk

Summer feels kind of boring right now. Feels like there's not much to do, but really there is. Next term is going to be pretty tough, so I think my subconcious is trying to tell me to relax and take a break, butmy parents are always on my case about being productive--playing piano or studying music theory (exam in august--gahh) or summer school or driving or SOMETHING other than playing video games and hogging the computer. Somehow I just can't find any motivation. Or I'm just affected by today's road test (T___T) and am being emo for the moment.

Been a while since I've touched a blog. Trying to start this one off, but like I said, it's been a while. Not even sure who's reading this, so I guess I'll just charge in blindly >.<. Also I need to calm my nerves before my driving exam tomorrow, so...some FFX thoughts.
